Natural disasters cause a lot of property losses and a huge number of lives per year. On an economical scale, it is constantly increasing due to population growth and the value of technology that is concentrated in areas that are potentially disaster-prone.
Apart from presenting knowledge research, natural disasters that are generally difficult to predict and occur at random, remain a challenge, especially the earthquake disaster.
Because the location of the Republic of Indonesia’s archipelago is vulnerable to earthquakes, Indonesia is prone to earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and floods. The earthquake and tsunami that occurred on December 26, 2016 on the west coast of Sumatra became the center of international media attention and was a major reminder of the magnitude of the damage caused by the disaster.
